## Materials

### Recycled plastic

A material made from single-use plastics. Waste that would otherwise end up in landfills is transformed into a durable, ecological solution that helps conserve natural resources and reduce plastic waste. Maintenance-free, highly resistant, and built to last.

### High-pressure laminate

HPL is made from layers of kraft paper and thermosetting resins. It features a low expansion coefficient and high resistance to frost, UV radiation, full water immersion, fire, and acids, with anti-graffiti properties.

### Steel

Steel is used as a structural element due to its strength, precision and durability. It allows for the creation of discreet and robust structures, ensuring stability and clear integration with other materials in demanding contexts.

## Our journey began while exploring Portugal's hiking trails, realized the gap in the quality of the signage that was an impediment to enjoying the national tourist offer.

It was then that, in 2010, inspired by a vision, the first directional signs for natural areas appeared, marking the genesis of Floema.
