“Receiving the COTEC Innovative Company 2026 recognition for the second consecutive year is a source of great pride. Above all, this recognition demonstrates the dedication, care, expertise, professionalism and capacity for innovation of the people who make up Floema®.” Tiago Costa, Finance Director
This award recognises not only the company’s financial strength, but also our ability to turn knowledge and research into innovation and investment that deliver concrete results.
More than an accolade, it recognises an ongoing commitment to excellence, innovation, process modernisation, and the continuous pursuit of solutions that add value for our clients, partners, and other stakeholders.
It also encourages us to continue evolving and strengthening our position as an innovative company prepared for future challenges.

Innovation is one of the pillars of our management
We see innovation not only as a concept linked to technology, but as a way of thinking and acting across every area of the organisation.
In practice, we seek to make decisions based on reliable information, while promoting continuous process improvement, digitalisation, operational efficiency, and the ability to adapt to new challenges.
Floema® is currently implementing a major investment plan focused on innovation, digitalisation, efficiency and research. This plan reflects the vision at the heart of our management.

Within our organisation, we encourage people to ask questions, propose improvements, and seek new solutions.
By doing so, we not only involve people in the company’s development strategy, but also make the organisation more agile, competitive, and resilient to change.
By fostering this proactive and creative approach, we help deliver innovative, distinctive and competitive solutions for our clients. We also apply this mindset to using Floema® resources more efficiently, optimising processes and creating long-term value.
This will clearly result in a company that is better prepared for challenges and change, and better able to create added value.
As Chief Financial Officer, I believe that financial discipline does not stifle innovation.
Research and innovation require significant investment and must be properly integrated into the company’s development strategy and supported by: 1) a rigorous analysis of risks and benefits; and 2) a properly structured and feasible development plan.
I believe that, as financial experts, we have a responsibility to ensure that resources allocated to research and innovation projects are used judiciously. We must continuously assess the expected return, the potential operational impacts, and the associated risks.
This balance between management and planning has enabled investment in new opportunities without compromising the company’s financial stability or continuity, ensuring sound and sustainable growth.
I believe that building a culture within Floema® teams based on responsibility, mutual support, continuous improvement, and continuous learning is the catalyst for achieving strong results for the company. It also honours a commitment made when Floema® was founded: to do better every day, overcome challenges, and create products that are #madeforlife.

This recognition encourages us to continue improving and investing further in innovation.
As technology evolves, the next challenges are to strengthen the company’s digital transformation, which began in part in 2026; implement technologies that support decision-making; increase operational efficiency; and continue investing in people’s skills.
In addition, as we expand into new markets, especially outside the EU, we face further challenges. We need to equip our people with the knowledge and skills required to provide customers with solutions that meet their needs.
This requires increased investment in specialised, dedicated training, research into new materials and products, and technological, organisational and marketing innovation.
